Dude, Where's My Seat? - Brick Lane - London.

"You can steal my seat, but you will not take my good moods away." This young lady here was so upbeat that even the seat thief couldn't take her smile and chicness away. She even had the time and grace to allow me to photograph her at this hour of distress (talk about bad timing from my part). Now that's the right attitude to have.

"At least they didn't take the whole bike, eh?" I replied after deep consolation and receiving dagger looks (picture three) from her boyfriend who was fuming at this loss knowing that somehow he will have to pay for it...

Have you been a victim of bike theft, (or any other type of petty theft) before? How did you handle it?

Why would someone just steal the seat? That just seems so ridiculous...

During my gazillion years in retail, I have been the victim of shoplifters on a regular basis. The weirdest thing about thieves? They always have a justification for the theft. THEY are doing nothing wrong, YOU are wrong for busting them!

I've so far never had anything from my bike stolen, but friends have. Its always painful when a bike is taken from you. At least she was in good spirit for some nice photos.

Poor girl, she will have had to peddle standing up all the way home. Blimey what a strange thing to do. Great shots and nice of her to stop for you. She has a great positive attitude. And I hope you have made her day now by blogging about her. Xxxx

OMG, that's terrible! I'm glad to see that she still has a great attitude about it! I don't have a bike so I've never been subjected to one but I know I'm going to so mad if something like this happen to me! xoxoxoo

Great photos. Some time ago, someone broke into my car and stole my Coach bag (my sister gave me that bag) and my running shoes. I handled it by reporting it to police and making a claim on my renters insurance, which covers personal property. But have never had my bike or any part of my bike stolen. That's because my bike rarely moves from its position in the hallway of my apartment building.
