Weekends In London.

London is an interesting place to live and work.
Here's what my most of my weekends consist of over the summer months.
It's like a tourist guide of some sort (My London) I call it.

Friday:
lunch with big bro M in Victoria (we usually go to the Pizza Hut and talk about things).

Mayfair, have a look at the new exhibitions usually at The Gagosian, Hamilton's gallery, White Cube gallery and anything on Bruton street, Bond street and The Francis Kyle gallery on Maddox street.

Soho and environs that is Regent street, Oxford Circus , Canarby Street etc have look at what the retailers are offering and any 'pop-up' shops or activities. The energy in this part of town is tremendous and exciting coz of the coming weekend. Don't forget to pick up a free Evening Standard newspaper and the Es Magazine that comes with it (great for fashion).

Knightsbridge. Laduree at Harrods to meet with friends from Vertu for our weekly 'chat' (more like gossip if you ask me) but I love it. In the cold months, we go to the fourth floor in Harrods at Andronicas for the best coffee in town this side of the river.

home to catch the closing bell at the NYSE and the close of the American markets, the open of the Asian markets at 11pm. Bed by 1am.

Saturday:
Southbank, Tate Mordern, to see whatever they got going on in terms of new exhibitions or activities.

Portobello. Walk from Notting Hill Gate tube all the way down Portobello Road towards Ladbroke Grove tube via Westbourne Grove ( it's got an eclectic mix of designer and independent boutique shops). If you have the time don't forget to have a look at The Electric Cinema on your way. They usually have great art house and independent films on show.

Camden; to meet with friends for a drink usually at The Hawley Arms, The Elephants Head, The Bar Fly etc etc. Take the no.31 bus from Westbourne grove tube towards Chalk farm The Round House, ( they have a great summer programme) get out and walk towards the stables market and onwards till mornington crescent KOKO then if you are not beat, head Midtown; for a night out with friends.

Sunday;
From midday, it's Shoreditch time! head to The White Chapel Art Gallery, exit at Algate East tube walk round the corner onto Brick Lane all the way up taking in the Sunday market in Spitalfields market and surronding areas. Cafe 1001 is a must see for people-watching while 'sipping on something' till you get to liverpool street tube. This is the most fashion forward part of town great for 'street- style hunting' especially on Sundays that's if you can get around the big crowd which adds to the exciting atmosphere.
