I have been to countless catwalk shows in my life but never to haute couture. The Laurence Xu show had many a grown man close to tears, myself included.
Everything was so beautifully made and executed from the displays inside the venue, to the traditional Japanese Artisans in the room making the lace that was used in the garments, to the music, oh the music; it transported us to a place that I can only describe as heavenly.
After this experience, I can fully appreciate why these pieces of wearable art cost as much as they do.
