The Royal Wedding - Fashion & Fun - London.

All the events taking place in North Africa and the Middle East took a back seat yesterday as a global audience, estimated at two billion people, turned their eyes to London for the royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. Now I'm not one to miss such a monumental occasion of historical significance, especially if it's in my city. So, I grabbed my equipment and set off to try and capture the mood and atmosphere.

The question on everyone's lips and minds was who designed the dress? We now know it was Alexander McQueen's successor Sarah Burton who previously denied anything having to do with it - who can blame her, it was the assignment of her life...On the other side of the coin, the other question on the streets was, "where the party at?" which I cheekily put to the mayor of London himself, Boris Johnson, pictured below...

Hello:
Wonderful images which certainly capture a side of the Royal Wedding not generally seen and, of course, the eccentricity of life which is so very British.

I actually hoped it would be McQueen. I sort of knew she wanted to go with Sarah because somebody mentioned her on tv back in Feb or March sometime... I even twitted it right then... But later the whole story went quiet, I think they just didn't want to make any extra hype over it before the actual date.
Was such an amazing day yesterday, felt so special and of course, the dress was amazing and the couple looked beautiful and so so soooo in love.

This is a great selection of photos. I haven't seen over half of these.
I didn't wake up early to watch it.
I didn't watch any news coverage.
All I watched was E!'s "Fashion Police" Royal Wedding Special on Friday night.
That's all the wedding coverage I needed.
Middleton's dress was gorgeous, though.
