Trendy Girl - Argyll Street - London.
Street politics: The Art of Separation.
Quite often, while street hunting, I come across groups of people that include just one of them that I want to photograph. But how do you separate them from the pack and ask for a picture without leaving the others feeling unwanted and unfashionable?
Take this young lady here for example, she was among a group of friends that had also made an effort to look good but I did not want to photograph them all.
After doing it numerous times, I have devised a method - it involves very dark shades, cunning verbal trickery and lots of charm all within a thirty second time frame. But in the end, it is all worth it!

She is sweet. You chose well. It is indeed hard to interupt a crowd. I still have to steel myself to do it. Xxxx

It is a challenge indeed, but you obviously managed it, David, and hey-ho does she look gorgeous!
