Cityscape - Oslo.

Oslo is home to five-hundred thousand inhabitants out of a four and a half million total population of Norway. I loved the architecture here and the fact that buildings cannot exceed a certain height - although as you approach the city from above, you notice a few cranes cropping up a couple of sky scrappers like the new Radisson Blu hotel building. But other than that, most of the buildings are three to four floors.

Check out the 'colour clashing' and all sorts of different little details like the ones we see on a well constructed couture garment here on these two buildings for example. This is a testament to quiet those who say that architects are just mathematicians. Not only are they mathematicians, they are artists as well.

Of all of the Scandinavian capitals, Oslo was my least favorite when I visited a few years ago. But you make it look better than I remember.

I went to Oslo in September 2009 and didn't really rate it compared to Helsinki or Stockholm but these photos are bringing back fond memories. I hope you're having a wonderful time there

Keep'em coming. Clearly you remembered to pack your artistic eyes for street scenes too :)
