Mr. 'Hurry-Up'...

I intercepted this young man on his way to the train station on a friday evening. He told me that he was in a hurry coz his train was about to leave and didn't wanna miss it but was kind enough to pose for me...


Reason I stopped him, was coz I recognized the labels his whole out fit consisted of and was impressed at the way he had put it together with that colour combo at that price.

I already knew the prices of each of the items he was wearing coz I'm in the shops everyday checking out any new collections for both men and women to help me with research for my work at the retail index on the stock market to see who's kicking who's behind in the market place in terms of revenue.
Anyway, enough about that...


A while ago I did a post about the state of today's fashion retail environment that compared high-end fashion to value-end fashion(or 'savvy-shopping' as it's commonly known).

Well this young man proves my point that you don't have to spend a fortune to look this stylish and no one will be the wiser...


Shoes: H&M-£15, Jacket: Primark-£25, Cardigan: H&M-£30, Polo: H&M-£8, Khaki pants: Primark-£10 and bag: H&M-£25.


Total look, brought in at £113.

And on another note,the americans were eliminated...again by the same guys Ghana as last world cup.

Sounds Of Africa.

Now that the football world cup is underway-(soccer to my friends across the pond), I don't know why I keep saying that but it beats me why they it called that, and what we call rugby here is football to them.
So I thought I would post something about the motherland.


Anyway the other day before the football/Soccer-(sorry, I can't help it), I heard these sounds in the town centre near my house and I remembered that it is football season and it's taking place in South Africa.


So I decided to get my camera and go find the source of these drums. I wasn't disappointed at what awaited my eyes coz rarely do I get to hear such sounds live, in my neck of the woods-(that would be Geneva) in case you are wondering.


So I stayed for a while while the crowd was gathering to listen and we got this...


Have a cool mid-week. I gotta go back to trading. The NYSE just opened! "Brace yourselves everyone!" as my mentor used to say-more like yelling.
